I offer topic and skill based clinics in the Metro Detroit and Ann Arbor areas. Some topic examples include:
“When Things Get Hairy”
Have you ever had a “blind miss” to a fence? You know, one in which no matter who you prayed to, or how hard you squinted, even the most marginally acceptable distance refused to reveal itself to you?
If you’re in a jumping discipline, you’ve been there. We’ve ALL been there. And there are ways to make those moments into disasters, and ways to mitigate catastrophe. In this topic based clinic, we focus in on predictable mistakes to help build confidence and make you a safer rider, even (and perhaps especially!) during the hairier moments of riding.

“The Half Halt: Misconceptions and Misuses”
There are a lot of misconceptions about the half halt. In this topic based clinic, we explore what the half halt is, how and when to use it, and how you can develop your skills to become a better, safer, more effective rider.

Proper Contact: The Seat, Leg, Head, and Hand
Proper contact can be elusive to many, but it is fundamental to good riding. Related to the half halt, but distinct, this clinic on “contact” focuses on what it means to have good contact, and how to develop a better position to keep good contact through all key points.

Please contact me for more information if you’d like to plan a clinic at your facility.
